To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Coping with Dysplasia I hope this helps anyone out there with having found out at one time or another that they have dysplasia. I was diagnosed with it in 1991. I was devastated. I thought right away I was going to die. I still get very nervous every time I go for my pap smears. I had to have surgery for moderate case. They cut off the outer layer of my cervix to get rid of all the abnormal cells. I have three children now and with each pregnancy I thought that I would have an incompetent cervix but I didn’t. I still get very nervous every time I have to go for a pap smear. I pray to God that I never have to go through that again. I know how everyone feels when you get the news, but life does go on. You just have to try and take really good care of your health and you body, and never forget to have you pap smears. Hope this helps. I have been clean for 16 years. Comments
