In late April 2007 my results from my yearly pap smear returned abnormal showing atypical cells so it was recommended for me to have a colposcopy. I returned to the dr for that in which they did a biopsy and then I found out that I have a pre-cancerous lesion. So about 10 days ago i went to the dr and she did a LEEP,

Hello everyone and thank you for sharing. I had my abnormal pap at the end of January this year and so far I’ve had the colposcopy, biopsy, and my leep was yesterday. I’m on such an emotional roller coaster.

I am 43 and was told Friday I have severe dysplasia. Dr. recommends a hystorectomy [hysterectomy] because 1 yr. ago my pap was normal. I am concerned about this returning and eventually becoming cancer.

In 2003 (I was 21) I found out I had HPV which was causing cervical dysplasia. I had cryotherapy performed and went to my GYN every 3 months after that. From 2003-2005 I wound up having to have two or three more cryotherapies done because the dysplasia would return.

I am 35 years old and I was told a week ago that I have mild dysplasia. I have been thinking about it a lot and every time I think about it I just feel like my head is spinning. The doctor who performed the colcoscopy left me a message with the nurse, and said to return in six months.

I am 17 years old. I have been battling cervical dysplasia for two years. I go to my gynecologist every three months for a pap test. I went in to have the “leep” procedure in March 2007.
