It really helps to know that I am not the only one! I am only 19, and my story started with few genital warts They did not hurt; I did not know that I actually have them for a very long time. I went for a check up and my doctor said, “Oh, you just have an HPV” Just… I had no idea what HPV was, so I said ok, and she gave me some topical solution to treat them. (Great doctor, huh?) They went away, but I read more in the internet about HPV and went to see my regular gyn. as you might know by now, I have moderate cervical dysplasia I will have that surgery where they remove the precancerous tissue. They told me they would put me on some anesthetics; however, I will be awake throughout the surgery. I have tendency to pass out in stress situation, so I cannot even think of what is going to happen…. I am very stressed out, reading your stories helped me a lot! I know we have to cope with this, and everything is just for our good.
