To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Frustrated but hopeful! In late April 2007 my results from my yearly pap smear returned abnormal showing atypical cells so it was recommended for me to have a colposcopy. I returned to the dr for that in which they did a biopsy and then I found out that I have a pre-cancerous lesion. So about 10 days ago i went to the dr and she did a LEEP, the worst part was the anxious feeling that the anesthetic gives you, but I didn’t feel any pain other than the normal discomfort of having a colpo. My dr just called me today and said that I have severe dysplasia and that they’ll be keeping a very close eye on me, I’ll be back at the dr office again in about three weeks. It’s frustrating that this whole ordeal isn’t over with yet, but i am so grateful that this was discovered early, before cancer. And I can only pray that with continued treatment and regular dr visits the abnormal cells will always be caught and removed early. It’s so nice to know that I’m not alone, I will be praying for all of you ladies! Stay strong and faithful!!! Comments
