To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Dealing with HPV I was diagnosed with HPV in January. When I found out how someone could contact this virus, I was shocked and embarassed. I was not in a relationship with anyone for a very long time. I was so busy with my career that I tended to push relationships to the side. I was surprised to find out that once you are affected with this virus, it takes a long time for it to cause damage, but once the damage begins it can be costly. After receiving the news that I had this virus, I have been depressed. Even though I battle with my depression I try to overcome it by learning new methods on how to help myself fight it. Since being diagnosed with this virus, I have done a massive research on the Internet on how to live with it. I found out that nutrition plays a role in fighting this virus. Make sure that you are taking B-complex vitamins (which contain 400 mg of folic acid). Try to use other vitamins along with this one that will help boost your immune system, too. Studies have shown that if you have a healthy immune system the virus can be controlled. Continue going to the doctors, and ask as many questions as you can about HPV Don’t be afraid to get a 2nd opinion. Two doctors working together to improve your health makes you feel more confident when fighting this virus. I’ve already have had a coloscopy. When the test result came back, I was informed that I had mild dysplasia. My doctor wanted to do a cone biopsy, but it was suggested by another doctor that the LEEP Procedure might be better because I still want to have the chance to have children. Hopefully, with my new lifestyle changes, and the LEEP Procedure I will be able to control my HPV We never get rid of it, but we can reduce the damages by changing our lifestyle. Now that I have been diagnosed with this virus, I am learning to live a healthier lifestyle by giving my immune system additional help by exercising, taking vitamins, and eating right. I also try not to get stressed out as much. Stress can aggravate any illnesses in your body, and we don’t want that to happen. Comments
