To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Unnerved… I am 36 years old, and about 5 months ago, I received my first abnormal pap. At this point, I was having my annual paps done by my GP rather than an OB/GYN. I wasn’t too worried, as I know that lots of things can cause such a result. The doctor said “come back in 3 months”. I did, and when the doctor’s office called back, they said I had another abnormal pap (ASC, they told me) and that I should see a GYN. I had that appointment today. The GYN had the faxed report from my GP, which stated that I had dysplasia. Why wouldn’t the GP’s office have said that when they called??? So now I’m waiting to have a colposcopy done, and I’m really nervous. That said, I feel much better having read some of your stories. It helps to know there are others out there. =0) Comments
