To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Second Colposcopy, Second LEEP? I am 29 years old. I have been having yearly PAPs for 11 years. My first abnormal one was earlier this year. I was also positive for HPV I went in for a colposcopy, had four biopsies, and found out that I had high grade lesions. I had a LEEP procedure in June of this year. I thought that it would be over with that. Unfortunately, not only did my next PAP result come back abnormal, but I was again positive for one of the high-risk strains of HPV For most women, it goes away on its own. For others, the LEEP takes care of it. But for me, and for others on this listserve, we are not so lucky. I am now going back for my second colpscopy and second set of biopsies and scrapings. If the moderate to severe dysplasia continues, I assume I will have to have either another LEEP or a cone biopsy. Are there any other options that people know of when the LEEP fails to take care of everything? By the way, I have no children yet so I was wondering what options would be the least risky. Thank you for sharing your stories and I will continue to add to this if I learn of any information. Comments
