To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Moderate Dysplasia I am 36 years old and am getting ready to go through the Leep procedure next week. I’m a little confused about how you get dysplasia. Is it a virus you catch from someone else that causes it. I’ve been with the same man for 14 years so if that’s the case I don’t understand why it is just showing up now. My doctor didn’t really explain how it occurs just that they are pre cancerous cells but if treated right way usually don’t actually turn into cervical cancer. As I started reading things on the net about dysplasia I see a lot of references to HPV but from what I understand you have to have some sort of genital contact, not necessariy intercourse to contract HPV Like I said I’ve been with the same person for 14 years. Could it take this long for dysplasia to show up? Comments
