I had my first bad pap back in July. They said I showed signs of mild dysplasia. Went back for a follow up pap three months later and they said it had progress and had me come in for the colcoscopy. They then upgraded me to moderate and scheduled me for a leep procedure which I just had last week. They did a biopsy before the procedure and those results came back as severe. So basically I went from mild to severe in 7 months. I expressed my concern about it to my doctor and he just tried to reassure me that the leep procedure ususally takes care of it but I’m not convinced. I’m just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience and if their paps stayed clear or if they have had reoccurring issues. I’m also having a lot of bleeding issues after the leep. After 5 days I had to go back to the doctor because my bleeding was so heavy. They put something on my cervix called moncells which did help the bleeding considerably for about 2 days. Last night I started bleeding heavier and bright red blood again and I have a feeling I’m going to have to make another trip back to the doctor today. So I’m also wondering if anyone else had bleeding issues after a leep and what was done to stop it. Comments
