Nervous, Anxious, and a little nausious

by: Skye on Tue, May 20 2008

well I am 18,turning 19 May 30th this year… I have known I had at least one strand of genital HPV because on my 18th birthday I went in to check out an itchy lump, and they diagnosed it as genital HPV… I have broke out about 3 - 4 times so far, and wasn’t too worried about it because the type that causes visible warts doesn’t cause cancer, it is an invisible strand that gives difficulty and could turn into cancer. I was late for my last pap smear, which just happened to be the one that came back abnormal. so I went in for the biopsy (Im not sure if thats what it is called, but when they cut a chunk of the cells off to test them and varify the abnormal pap results). the Biopsy confermed I was in the second stage out of three stages of pre-cancerous cervix cells, I was notified in April… my doctor (only from the closest walk-in clinic I don’t even have a personal family doctor) sent me for a consultation on May 2nd and the sergen did his own pap smear to make sure I don’t have anything like clamidia and other illnesses so basically a regular chek up, and said I have to wait for the hospital to contact me with my awaiting appointment…. and now it’s been three more weeks without a word from the hospital or any of the involved doctors, and I’m really starting to get sick from anxiety… I don’t have any children so I don’t know if that plays a part with my position on the waiting list or not, but the hugest woprry I have is i don’t know alot about dyspasia or even how long it takes for it to completely develope into cancer….. being a high school student I have to be honest I wasn’t and still am having troubles trying to be responsible, not drinking underage or smoking tobacco and marijuana has been really difficult considering it was a daily habit…. I have successfully quit chemical drugs including exctacy, cocain, crack, special K (cat tranqs), and whatever meth might have been present in any of the described chemicals, I have also periodically ingested magic mushrooms….. the sergen from the consultation on May 2nd told me that I was unable to naturally overcome the virus with my immune system because I have damaged it so much, I was also curious if a person can build their immune system again through ending the use of stimulents or something? but most of all does anyone know the amount of time each stage of dysplasia lasts for before the whole thing is cancerous?
this disease just really really sucks, I have no idea who gave it to me, and my promiscuous nature includes around 18-19 sexual partners 3 of which I didn’t agree too but they accured anyways because I was intoxicated and inubreated, so I have absolutely no hope of ever finding who gave it to me, or who I gave it too…. I would really appreciate any comments or information inspired from my story because my peers are almost all very caught up in there own habitat that I feel really very seperated from normallity, and would fully appreciate any support
