After having had an abnormal papsmear, I was told I needed a colposcopy. Having had this about 20 years ago, I was not looking forward to it, because it was a very uncomfortable procedure. About 16 years ago, I was diagnosed with genital warts by a not-so-friendly gyn, who treated me like I was a total slut.

I was diagnosed with dsyplasia a year and a half ago, it didn’t go away so last Septmeber I had a LEEP done. Went for my 6 months check up and here it was again.

- My Battle With HPV and Cervical Dysplasia - by Gracie - (Thu, Sep 04 2008)
I was diagnosed after my 3rd child was born with HPV and Cervical Dysplasia. I was asked on the phone to sit down before the news was broke to me, which in fact scared me even more. I was told I am a carrier and that it can progress to cervical cancer if not treated early, that I would have to begin every 3 month pap smears.
