To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download not much fun I had found out about 3 months ago that i had dysplasia. I completely freaked out with the words “precancerous”. It was like i had been given a death sentence already. I am 27 years old and almost a year ago delivered a beautiful little girl 5 weeks early due to preeclampsia. i have never had any health problems before the preeclampsia. After i got the results from my pap saying abnormal cells, we moved to a biopsy. I was more than nervous about what could come with procedures after looking online and talking to people. i hope i can help calm someones fears about it all. i will be honest, its not fun, and does not feel good, but it doesn’t last for long. The biopsy felt like getting pinched which was an irritant but not unbearable. After the biopsy results i thankfully did not have cancer but just mild dysplasia but would need cyrosurgery. this is freezing of the cervix. People told me it was torture and painful and i would smell like something died down there while i was pouring like a faucet and changing pantiliners every 30 minutes. People enjoy drama! It feels like a lot a pressure inside that lasts for up to 3 minutes or so, at about a minute and a half you will want to pull away from your doctor. After its done its almost a cramping pressure and I felt like i needed to pee, but when i tried it felt like when you try to go after intercourse. After about 30 minutes i had no feeling anything had been done. It does leak a little and does have a small smell but normal cleansing will keep things under control. i thought it would be so bad i would need a diaper, lol. not that bad though. just keep in mind of how little this is to bear, compared to chemo if you let it turn into cancer. sure hope i help someone. take care!
