Well i am the worse I had the red chemo cant remember the name and thats a side effect also the brain is not what it use to be. Anyway that chemo attacked my legs my balance and gave severe pain. I mean Percocet 10 having to take 2 at a time with 2mg of dilaudid in between. That went on for 3 days. Was relief there in the 3 days? Sure was not. Fetal position i was in those days and yes hospitalized i was. The next attacker was taxol it was the big attacker went to the heart. Yes i had chest pain . Sure i was hospitalized again perhapes it was the 249/110 blood pressure that got me there. Yes I saw a cardiologist doctor he did the usual heart test and told me it was not my heart but the chemo med which destroys your good and bad cells. Yes i had the discolored nails not just the thumbs but all hand nails and all toe nails. My chemo was may 2007 and just this month my last toe grew out the last of the discoloration of the purple color. Hair loss was at 3/4 percent. Of course i had 7 baggies of hair at initial loss. The chemo brain has been about the same my son tells me. I hurt all over still in the bones muscles tissue. For give the grammar just want to type quick. My hands arent what they once were gripping is poor, closing of the hand is poor, my hand forms an c and does not close. Still pushing up to get up or my son assist at times. Walking theres still those days good bad and limp or no limp or cane or no cane. Oh the lovely chair I have (shower chair) because if I get in the tub there is no getting out alone. How are you someone ask, I am alive a uncontrolled therometer to my body I can deal with as long as I am washing my hair or stripping my clothes off at home to cool off. Not working currently so thats a plus I may scare someone other wise.I am hoping on regaing all the old me I just dont know when the return will occure. Breast cancer was in the centinal node, 6 lymphs were also removed, not involved. yes there was radiation also. So there are side effects that are mentioned in the books and then theres me. Take care all chins up. Comments
