bladder infection following tibaligation [tubal ligation]

Following my tubaligation [tubal ligation] I was sent home without making sure I could urinate. I developed an extreme bladder infection with blood clots that would let me urinate. I had to be cathetarized for 24 hrs until the anitbiotics took hold and after the cathetar was removed I passed a large toonie sized clot that was obviously causing blockage to the flow of urine. Make sure you can urinate following surgery before you leave the hospital.
