To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Endometriosis, discovery, pain, hope I am a 34 year old female, with 2 healthy children from previous normal pregnancies and births. I found out I had Endometriosis during an emergency Laparoscopy, stemming from a ruptured tubal pregnancy. I was to find out later that the endometriosis was the cause to my painful monthly cycles and the largest factor in why I had a tubal pregnancy, v.s. a normal pregnancy. My cycles have grown increasingly painful. My Ob/Gyn and I have discussed multiple options. My husband and I chose to try for another child v.s. surgery. We have been actively trying and using every Dr fact and wives tale trick known. And, after a year have had no success. The endometriosis, has now robbed me of my fertility, as well. I am scheduling a Diagnostic Laparoscopy. In this procedure, the Dr. will make 3 small incisions and caulderize the endo implants. She will also have the opportunity to inspect my one remaining tube, while she’s in there. Finally, I have been having chronic pain. It went from semi-monthly, to monthly, to daily. It’s really disruptive. I pray the surgery is a success. Has anyone else had such a procedure, and have a success story? Pain relief? Future pregnancies? Comments
