a long haul now bladder repair??

Over twenty years ago I was diagnosed with IC I was unable to urinate many times and had to run to the doctor to be catherized. The doctor tried a few things, nothing much helped. I got to try the Garlic fish smelly stuff and my husband would open the front door and beg me to go to a hotel. The smell was so bad that even after two days I went shopping and heard a lady gag when she walked by me. I knew I couldnt use this method. The doctor handed me literature about this incurable disease and how I should join support groups. I decided to try to get rid of it on my own.

I knew I couldnt have a glass of white wine or any alcohol. Also sugar substitutes bothered me as did coffee. Pretty soon I was just drinking water. The symptoms eased. Then they just recently discovered I had a 14mm kidney stone. Weds a stent was put in place. The bladder spasmed so bad I have never felt pain of this intensity. Day 5 and its better but I still lay down all day and use heat on my bladder. Im really scared to have the stone lasered because the doctor said the worse part of this would be taking the stent out. Of course its too late to change my mind!

I cant imagine anything worse then I just went through. And the bladder has fallen, I was excited to think of having it repaired, now I am thinking I should just wait and carry the bladder around in my hand or a fanny pack lol. Has anyone experienced having the bladder put back in place(with IC) and was there pain with this procedure? I have felt almost normal for the last 20 years except for frequent restroom stops. Im just not prepared to go through major pain again, even if it may help in the long run. They cant seem to control the bladder spasms at all. I know this is an excellent doctor. Any suggestions?
