When in my early twenties, I contracted a virus that affected several of my major organs; the meninges of the brain, enlarged heart and liver. The headache I experienced at the time was like a sledgehammer hitting my head. I took an epilepsy med for months after to keep from having headaches.

I started having these terrible headaches when I was only 24. At the time they diagnosed them due to stress because of going through a nasty divorce. But as the stress subsided the headaches were not going away. I was later diagnosed as having migraines My life has never been the same.
