Living with Migraine

I was in a very bad accident in 2001, In the accident. I broke my neck in 2 places after getting hit in the head by a very large tree limb. I woke up in the hospital 2 days later. I had no idea how I got there and I do not remember anything about the accident itself. I do know that just over a year I went back to work again. I work for just over a year and then I could not take it any more. The pain was too intense and I was taking to much medication to be any good on my job.

Anyways a short while after that my headaches started to get bad. And then they got so bad I could no longer function with out help.I had many many tests done. And everything pointed back to my accident when I broke my neck. Now I suffer from migrains so times that are so bad I cannot walk.

I went to a pain clinic as I could not take it anymore. I am now taking 150 mg of Topmax every night. Though I still get headaches. They are very mild and I can still function. I have only had 2 Migrain headaches in the past 2 years since I started taking the Topamax. Like I said. At least I can function. And that much I am greatful fore.
