To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download Misserable OAB I have had OAB for about 3 years and I have been misserable. I visited a urologist and I was given a medication for the OAB which caused me to get bladder infections because I was retaining urine. I was then switched to Detrol LA and the same thing happened. I then visited the Gynocoligist for therapy and I learned that certain foods can irritate the bladder such as citrus foods, spicy foods and number killer “caffeine”. After eliminating these foods, the urgencies diminshed significantly. I also discovered that cold water/drinks made me go the bathroom so I have also eliminated cold water and drink only room temperature water. When I break the rules and eat or drink what I am not suppossed to, there I am in the bathroom again. I hope that these hints will be helpful to someone. May 2007
