Living with PCOS

by: Amanda on Mon, Nov 26 2007

Hello. My story goes back 7 years ago. I started noticing that my cycle was lasting for a long period of time. The first time it lasted for 10 weeks straight. I tried a few doctors, even having a DNC, but no could tell me what was going on. So I decided to go to a different doctor. Within a few minutes he tells me that I have PCOS and that my brain is not getting the proper message from my uterus not to make estrogen. So instead of just my uterus making estrogen, my brain is doing the same. April I was told that I would need help getting pregnant. This news devistated my husband and myself.

I am needing some information on how to make this a little bit better. My cycle now last over a year at a time and the doctors still have no clue on how to help. Please if someone can help my husband and I would appreciate it.
