Trying to enjoy life with RSDS

by: dee on Tue, Jun 26 2007

I was a nurse who was kicked by a patient waking up in the recovery room which resulted in my RSDS. I have constant pain in my arm and shoulder and find it hard to enjoy all the things I loved to do. I was very active before the accident, and in pain now doing simple things. I’m on Avinza now for pain, but that doesn’t help like I hoped. And yes ,I have tried physical therapy accupucture, monthly massages, cortisone injections,etc..I can understand why depression occurs!

Trying to keep the home clean, have dinner on the table and then a smile on your face is hard to do some days. Sleeping is another issue-none-insomnia to the max! Try to sleep in one position (in my case on the back) all night. Then come migraines(probably due from insomnia).

But,I figure that someone else has it worse than I do,and I try to put a smile on my face each day!
