DOES ANY ONE HEAR ME

by: AURA on Tue, May 13 2008

I AM A 48 YR OLD FEMALE, I HAD AN ACCIDENT 2 YRS AGO AND HAD A SMALL FRACTURE AND A SEVERE SPAIN TO MY ANKLE. I WENT THROUGH THE REGULAR RUTINE, OF A CAST AND CRUTCHES, STILL HAD PAIN, A YR LATER I WAS SENT TO A SERGION AND HE DID A PARTIAL RETINACULUM RELEASE IN MY ANKLE BECAUSE THE LIGAMENT HAD A KNOT IN IT AND WOULDNT LET MY ANKLE MOVE PROPRERLY AND THEY THOUGHT THAT IS WHERE THE PAIN WAS COMING FROM.

AFTER THE SURGERY THE RANGE OF MOTION WAS WORSE, I DEVELOPED ADHESIONS AND REQUIRED THERAPY. I STARTED TO GET SHARP PAINS IN MY ANKLE GOING UP AND SHAP PAINS INTO MY FOOT. I WAS TOLD TO GIVE IT TIME. I DID. A FEW MNTHS LATER I DEVELOPED NUEROMAS IN MY FOOT. VERY PAINFULL. THE DR SET ME UP FOR SURGERY THIS PAST DEC. WHEN I CAN OUT FROM SURGERY I WAS IN A LOT OF PAIN, THEY SAID I SHOULDNT BE BECAUSE HE HAD DONE A NERVE BLOCK, I INFORMED THEM THAT IT MUST NOT HAVE WORKED, SO THEY GAVE ME MEDS TILL I WAS OK, WELL WHEN IT CAME TIME TO LEAVE AND I SAT UP, I FUT MY FEET DOWN AND BLOOD GUST OUT OF MY BANDAGE ONTO THE FLOOR, SO THEY PUT ME BACK IN BAD AND TOOK THE BADAGE OF AND RE DRESSED IT, AND ODDLY, AFTER ALL THE BLOOD CAME OUT THE NERVE BLOCK STARTED TO WORK.

I WENT HOME AND IMMEDIATELEY KNEW SOMETHING WAS NOT RIGHT . MY FOOT WAS VERY SWOLLEN AS WERE MY TOES. MY TOES FELT TO THE TOUCH LIKE SOMEONE HAD BURNT THEM WITH A BLOW TURCH, AND STILL FEEL LIKE THAT TODAY 6 MNTH LATER. I HAD SEVERE SHOOTING PAIN INTO MY TOES. I WAS TOLD AT FIRST THAT THIS WAS ALL NORMAL HEALING, THEN WHEN IT STARTED TO TURN PURPLE AND COLD AND SWELL, AND THE PAIN AND THE SENSITIVITY TO TOUCH NEVER LEFT ME IN FEB. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH RSD IT WAS CONFIRMED BY A CPL OTHER DR’S AS WELL. I HAVE BEEN IN THEAPY SINSE DEC. I HAVE STARTED IN PAIN MANAGMENT AND THEY HAVE ME ON MOPHINE AND ON ZONAGRAN.

I HAVE HAD ONE NERVE BLOCK AND I AM HAVING A EPADURAL MONDAY. HERE IS WHAT I NEED SOME HELP WITH IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME.RIGHT AFTER I WAS DIAGNOSED I STARTED HAVING A SENSATION IN MY FOOT LIKE A HUMMING, LIKE I HAVE A TENS UNITS ATTACHED TO MY FOOT ON LOW, ANYWAY IT STARTED IN THE ONE FOOT, AND SO DID THE TWITCHING MUSCLES FROM THERE IT WENT TO BOTH LEGS, THE THEE THIGHS AND NOW MY ENIRE BODY. THE DRS ARE ALL STILL TREATING MY LOWER BODY. THEY ARE TELLING ME THAT RSD CAN SPREAD THAT FAST, BUT CANNOT TELL ME MY MY WHOLE BODY IS SHAKING AND HUMMING JUST THE SAME WAY MY LEGS ARE.

I AM SO SCARED I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO, SOME TIMES I FEEL LIKE NO ONE HEARS ME. LIKE THEY ALL THNK I AM CRAZY. I THINK THAT THEY JUST DONR KNOW! HAS THIS HAPPENED OR HAPPENING TO ANYONE ELSE WITH RSD? PLEASE I NEED HELP. PLEASE CONTACT ME IF YOU CAN HELP IN ANY WAY! THANK YOU!
