To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download 19 with a baby I wasn’t terribly young, but young enough when I found out I was pregnant. I was 19 and in my first year of college. I wasn’t ready to be a mother nor was my boyfriend ready to be a father. We still wanted to party, hang out with friends, and do what college students do. But all of that was going to change. My family barely supported me, and my boyfriend and I were falling apart. My friends no longer talked to me since I couldn’t go out anymore with them. I was very alone and very scared. My son now is almost 4. I don’t know where I would be today without my son in my life. His father left me before my son turned one and I was left alone going to college and raising my son. I had no family support even though we all lived in the same town. People treated me differently cause I was young with a kid. If I took my son to the doctor they acted like I didn’t know what I was talking about…I was treated like I was stupid. Today I have met a wonderful man and he has supported me through everything. He’s taken my son into his life and we are expecting a little girl in a few months. To everyone else out there, I want to say having a kid is extremely serious and if you are ever thinking about doing it….you need to know what to expect. It’s not easy, people treat you differently when you are young and have a kid, you lose friends, family, and even boyfriends. Just because you love someone and think they will be there with you forever, doesn’t mean you should have a kid. Focus on your life, your career, your future because there is plenty of time to have a baby. Comments
