Young Mother

My name is sabrina anderson and i am only 17 years old, im a senior in high school and i had lots of plans for my future which got put on hold when i found out that i was expecting a baby in septeber 08. I will be 18 years old this month but it is still a huge deal for me.

I no longer live with my parents i haven’t sense i’ve been 16 years old and i only work part time right now because i am in school. My pregnancy was a huge shock to me and my boyfriend, we were using all the protection possible, i’ve been on bc sense i was 12 and he used a condom everytime and some how that test came out postive. At first his mother hated that fact that he was having a baby, she shunned me away and wanted nothing to do with me, my mother was very supportive and told me that she would be there for me through everything, which reassured me that i would be fine.

Im still scared, i know it isn’t right to have a child at such a young age but maybe because it happened the way that it did, it was ment to be. Which is why i decided to keep the baby and take care of it. I know it’s going to be hard and i know i have to give up all of my plans, but i will be able to do it, not all pregnancies are a mystake! Mine was ment to be!
