hypotyroidism [hypothyroidism] caused by an auto-immune flare

After having each of my children (3), my immune system always attacks my thyroid resulting is hypo-thyriodism [hypothyroidism]. I always had to take replacement thyropy. I discovered that my mother, grandmother, aunts, sisters and female causins all have this problem and that it is hereditary. Unlike the rest of my family… my thyriod production reaches a normal production level, and I am always forced to come of medication. I live normaly… while the remaining women in my family have to take medicine the rest of their lives with their dosage slowly increases with age. I am thankfull for this blessing in my life, and I pray for all the women that suffer with thyroid problems. The symptoms can be sever and vary with each person. Seek help, and do not ignor your body and emotions… they tell you when somethings wrong.
